Newday Parker Service Opportunities
Are you looking for a place to develop your spiritual gifts?

Newday Parker offers a variety of opportunities for volunteering. Imagine being energized and challenged doing something you love and doing it with people you enjoy.

As you look over the following opportunities, we invite you to find your "sweet spot" of service by experimenting until you find the right place. Your site pastor will be happy to assist you throughout your process. Job descriptions with more detail for each place of service are available.

Hosts:
Warm, friendly, non-threatening hosts create the first impression each week at Newday. Hosts serve at the door welcoming guests upon arrival, in the foyer to provide direction and options, and in a roaming capacity to make guests feel comfortable and welcomed in every way.

God Squad:
A group of energetic individuals who oversee the physical and logistic needs of the Parker site and are the set-up and tear-down crew of our mobile church culture. God Squad is made up of two teams which each serve on a rotating basis of six weeks on and six weeks off.

Sound/Projection Team:
Help create the worship environment by using or developing skills in lighting, sound, and projection, including SongShow Plus. Training is provided.

Worship Team:
Our worship team desires to bring joy to God’s heart through creative and engaging corporate worship. A variety of opportunities exist including worship leading, vocalist, instrumentalist, and drama.

Prayer:
Lead Newday in corporate prayer, bringing requests, praise, and thanksgiving to God during the weekly worship service.

Children’s Story:
During worship each week, a story with a lesson is provided for Newday Kids that will prepare them to listen to the message of the day.

Café Newday Host:
Café Newday is designed with adults in mind. Café Hosts provide simple refreshments and help create a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere where adults gather immediately following the worship service. Hosts also assist in facilitating conversations, using a prepared outline that focuses on application of the topic discussed during the worship service.

Newday Kids:
Newday Kids range from birth through age 12. Kids are divided into several age groups as they participate in programs that are safe, fun, and spiritually forming. There are a variety of roles to fill in working with Newday Kids and you can count on us always needing more hands!

EDGE:
Newday’s youth group, EDGE is an acronym for “Every Day God Experiences.” EDGE needs spiritually minded adult volunteers who love to have fun and build relationships with teens. EDGE uses a dynamic, teen-focused curriculum, as well as monthly community involvement activities and great social times together.

Care Team:
Newday’s care team seeks to demonstrate the love of Jesus in tangible ways to those with specific needs. More specifically, the Care Team provides meals during times of need to the Newday family and those close to us, as well as visitation during times of need. Members of the care team in the Parker site also assist in preparation for communion services.
