You are welcome!

When you walk into Newday, we want you to feel right at home.

Attending a new church for the first time can certainly be an overwhelming experience, especially if you don’t know what to expect. We want your experience at Newday to be positive and fulfilling. If you choose to be our guest on a Saturday morning here are a few things you might find helpful to know before you arrive!

What we’re about?

Newday exists to “Develop passionate Christ followers who, together, love God and serve people.” This mission was given to us by Jesus in two of His most powerful and poignant statements; the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-39). Whether you’re just investigating the claims of Christ, or have been following Him for awhile, Newday is a safe place to be on a spiritual journey. We would love to partner with you as you seek to love God more and serve people better.

Setting the stage

When you come to Newday, you’ll notice that we rent space from Parker Evangelical Presbyterian Church. We don’t own property, so that we can give more money away to those we partner with in our community and around the world. When you arrive, you’ll notice that people are warm and friendly, and dress at Newday ranges from very casual to somewhat dressy. That means you’ll feel comfortable however you’re dressed. You’ll be greeted by a host who will point out where everything is, and answer any question you might have. Once in our worship service, you’ll find a relaxed atmosphere where you can connect to God through music, prayer, and a message from the Bible.

We are here together

Volunteers are critical in the life of the church. From serving in a regular role in one of our Newday ministries, to taking a Global Impact trip to the other side of the world, or to being part of positive change in our community, there is a volunteer opportunity for you at Newday! Our greatest days are ahead as we together mature in our faith and serve our world for Christ!

When you come to Newday, you’ll find that we talk a lot about three experiences: connecting, growing, and serving. These three experiences are at the heart of all we do, so it’s worth explaining what we mean by each one:

Connect

The primary way we connect to God together at Newday is through our worship service. If you haven’t yet come to a worship service at Newday, we’d like to invite you to be our guest! If you’d like to see what you will experience, watch one of our Sermons online. Another great way to connect to God and others is to attend our “Starting Point” group, which is a way to investigate faith in a safe environment with others who also have questions. Contact us and we’ll let you know where and when the next “Starting Point” group will begin. Finally, there are many ways you can connect to God on your own. Below are two resources that will help you begin a relationship with God through the Bible.

Grow

The primary way we grow together at Newday is through our Grow Groups. A Grow Group is a group of people who meet together weekly to encourage each other, build relationships, and discuss what it means to be a follower of Christ in today’s world. We have different kinds of Grow Groups all over the city meeting on different nights of the week. Contact us for an up-to-date list of Grow Groups in your area.

Serve

Serving in the church or in the world is a great next step to get more involved in a community of faith, and a fantastic way to grow spiritually. We have many opportunities to serve together on a team to get to know new people, and to make an impact in our world. Contact us for more information, or click on our “Get Involved” page to a see a list of opportunities.
